Annie Kersey

Annie Laura Kersey, 73, of Tolarsville, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was born in Robeson County, NC, on September 28, 1947, to the late Jack Gilbert and Mamie Graham. She was a mother, a sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all. She welcomed everyone into her home and her heart. Annie Laura loved her shows, her books, her bible and her family. Annie Laura carried the hearts of everyone she came across.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Gilbert and Mamie Graham, and her daughter Barbara Anne Kersey; her sisters, Viola Grimsley, Edna Lou Honeycutt and Jackie Pait. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Anne Burrington, Loretta Cochran and her husband, Chris Cochran; grandchildren, Randy Barnhill and wife, Morgan Barnhill, Anthony Monroe, Destiny Mattison, Vada Smith, Taylor Edwards, and Travis Monroe; great grandchildren, Seth Marx and Alice Reed; her siblings, Bonnie Ray Cox, Gilbert Graham Jr, and Calvin Graham. Annie Laura or Mema to most, left this world with more love than she found. She will be missed.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Tolarsville Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Broadwell officiating.
