Arthur Randall Jackson, 73, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, died Sunday August 7, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 30, 1942 to the late James Randall and Thelma Faircloth Jackson. He graduated from St. Pauls High School with the Class of 1960 and was a US Army veteran. He was a chemist with Monsanto Industries and was assigned to the Roundup development team. As an avid sportsman, Randall was an exceptional base ball player, took in as many Duke basketball games as possible, and worked with NHRA (National Hot Rod Association). His sons described him as a "Fishaholic", who loved nothing better than a good day fishing. In addition to his parents, James and Thelma Jackson, he was preceded in death by a son, Sheldon Gudmundson. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Kevin Jackson and his wife Catina, Bryan Jackson and his wife Rosa and John Gudmundson and his wife Lisa; 11 grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
