A cherished angel was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 15, 2024. Avalyn Rae Woodell, age nine, left us peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and light. She was a very special little girl who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Avalyn brought immense joy to those around her and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We find comfort in knowing she is now running and singing with the angels. God truly blessed us with her sweet and gentle spirit.
Avalyn was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Ray C. Baker and Robert M. Canady.
She is survived by her loving mother, Laura M. Canady, of the home; her grandparents, Michael L. Canady of the home and Ann Kuykendall (Bob) of Dunn; her great-grandmothers, Joyce Canady, also of the home, and Mae Baker of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her uncles, Patrick Kuykendall and Tim Kuykendall (Megan); her great-uncles and great-aunts, Scott Canady (Crystal), Christina Pate (Jamie), and Christine Brown (Jimmy).
Avalyn’s special cousins, Gatlin Pate (Lauren), Gage Pate (Maggie), and Cole Kuykendall, along with many other beloved family members and friends, will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
