Beatrice “Bea” Hill Hinson, 95, of St. Pauls died Thursday February 6, 2020 at her home. She was born on November 2, 1924 in Brunswick County, NC to the late Carson James and Kittie Wells Jacobs Hill. She served as Secretary/Treasurer for the St. Pauls Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was a volunteer with the Lumberton Christian Care Center for over 25 years. A woman of faith, she was a member of Rozier Baptist Church and previously First Baptist Church of St. Pauls. She was good with her hands and enjoyed crafting things which were donated to various non-profit groups for sales. In addition to fishing, Bea was happiest in her garden surrounded by flowers and birds. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her one great, great child. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Chester L. Burnes, second husband, Azure L. Hinson, sisters, Leitha Young, Lee Madonna, and Eula Gore, and a brother, Escu Hill. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jordan and son, Jerry Hinson; grandchildren, Michael Jordan and his wife Brenda, Scott Jordan and his wife Carma, Todd Jordan, Bryan Hinson and his wife Rae-Ann, Kevin Jordan, and Amy Weymouth and her husband Ronnie; great grandchildren, Kaiya Jordan, Ainsley Batten, Kerri Jordan, Todd Jordan Jr., Austin Jordan, Evan Jordan, Courtney Jordan, Carmen Jordan, Summer Jordan, Caleb Weymouth, Jacob Weymouth, and August Hinson; great, great grandson, Jaxon Jordan; and a brother, Noah Hill. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday February 9, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service scheduled for Monday February 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Rozier Baptist Church, 2582 Rozier Church Road, Lumberton, NC 28360, with the Reverend Robert Peltz officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Rozier Baptist Church, 910 North 5th Street, St. Pauls, NC 28384, in lieu of flowers.
