Beryl Page

Beryl Van Riddle Page, 82, of 520 Camden Road, Raeford, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2013 after a long battle with Cortical Basal Ganglionic Degeneration. Born October 2, 1930 in St. Pauls, NC, Beryl was the daughter of the late Thomas Evander Riddle and Mattie Rebecca Holder. Beryl and her husband owned and managed Page Finance Company, Page Furniture Company, Page Pawn Shop and rental property. Beryl was a former member of First Christian Church of Fayetteville, NC. She volunteered for many years at the Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center, and she served as a HOSPICE volunteer for Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of sixty four years, Willard Franklin Page; daughters: Sherry Dell Page of Pinehurst, NC and Pamela Page Arnett and her husband, Dr. Robert Michael Arnett of Spartanburg, SC; son, Willard Franklin Page, Jr. and his wife, Melissa Anne Page of Pinehurst, NC; granddaughter, Sherry Bethany Page of Wilmington, NC; grandsons, Willard Franklin Page, III of Southern Pines, NC and Michael Bryan Arnett of Beaufort, SC; step-grandsons, Samuel David Finnegan and Nicklaus Mitchell Finnegan of Pinehurst, NC, sisters: Lottie Dell Shaw of Hope Mills and Sarah Neill Justice of Parkton; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Beryl was preceded in death by a sister, Mozelle Riddle Morrison and her husband Adelbert Morrison; a brother, Thomas Lincoln Riddle and two brothers-in-law, Duncan Graham Shaw and Charles Justice. A “Celebration of Life Service” will be held in the Chapel of McNeill Mackie Funeral Home in St. Pauls, NC on Friday, March 22 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Shuford White. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 on Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either “Friends of the Cancer Center” at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304 or HAVEN FRIENDS FOR LIFE, 400 Fulford McMillan Road, Raeford, NC 28376.
