Bill Fisher Byrd, 86, of St. Pauls died Wednesday May 30, 2018. He was born in Robeson County April 1, 1932 to the late Robert Fisher and Dixie Townsend Byrd. He loved farming and he loved hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Byrd and brother-in-law’s, Mack Broadwell and Douglas Musselwhite and a son-in-law, Carl Hyatt. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maitland Broadwell Byrd; daughter, Joanie B. Hyatt of St. Pauls; sons, Kelton Byrd and his wife Belinda of St. Pauls, and Robert and Dohn Byrd of the home; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Musselwhite; sister-in-law, Joyce Broadwell, and beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday 6/2/2018 at 12:00 noon at Ten Mile Baptist Church, 5176 Barker Ten Mile Rd., Lumberton, with the Pastors David McClellan and Jeff Broadwell officiating. A visitation being held one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, also at the church. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith cemetery.
