Bobby Caulder, 76, of Hope Mills, North Carolina died Friday March 24, 2018 at home, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Robeson County, NC March 29, 1941 to the late Thomas Parker and Bessie Holloman Caulder. A faithful member of Hillside Baptist Church in Hope Mills, NC, he, also, served in the US Army Field Artillery in Viet Nam, attaining the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Viet Nam Service Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal. He was an avid fisherman and former member of the Fayetteville Moose Lodge. He loved classic cars, especially his 1972 Chevy Cheyenne C-10 and he was a member of the Carolina Cruzers. In addition to his parents, Tom and Bessie Caulder, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Marie Caulder; brothers, Billy and Jimmie Caulder; and sister, Faye Shipman. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Doreatha Cooley Caulder, of the home; son, Robbie Caulder and his wife Katina of Hope Mills; sisters, Sue Grimsley and her husband Gilbert of Hope Mills and Patricia Graham of the home; grandchildren, Jordan Branham and Albert Branham; brother-in-law, Calvin Cooley of Alamogordo, NM; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 2 PM at Hillside Baptist Church, 3807 Legion Rd., Hope Mills, NC with Pastor Phil Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls. The Patriot Guard Riders will be providing the American Flag Line and Flag Honor Guard escort. A visitation will be held Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hillside Baptist Church, PO Box 340, Hope Mills, NC 28348 in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
