Calvin Wilkerson

Calvin "Heat Man" Wilkerson, 81, of Hope Mills, died December 20, 2018 at his home.

Born October 30,1937, in Schuyler, VA (Waltons mountain), He was the son of the late Jesse Wilkerson and Alma Ragland Wilkerson. In addition to his parents his sisters Katherine Via, Helen Wilkerson, Claudine Banton and brother Wallace Wilkerson preceded him in death.

Calvin was the owner of Wilkerson & Sons Heating and Cooling and an active member of Great Marsh Baptist Church. Calvin served as a deacon, choir member, Sunday school member, served on several committees, ministered through visiting other members and shut ins as long as he was able.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Dickerson Wilkerson, of 58 years; Four sons: Howard (Joy), Mike (Lisa), Todd (Gidget), Scott; Grandchildren: Chris (Jessica), Josh, Jonny, Chris, Julie (Greg), Justin (Jessica), Ashley (Scott), Alyssa; Thirteen Great Grand Children; and several other loved ones.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2018, from 6-8 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, 319 W Broad St, St. Pauls, NC 28384. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018, 3:00 pm at Great Marsh Baptist Church, 270 E. Great Marsh Ch Rd. St. Pauls, NC 28384 with  services conducted by Pastor Jeff Broadwell.
