Carey Drake Locklear

Carey Drake (Troy) Locklear, age 62, of Fayetteville, NC was born to Gracie and Theodore Locklear in Saddle Tree, North Carolina on April 12, 1955 and transitioned from this earthly plane on September 9, 2017 at 12:12 am at HOSPICE House in Lumberton, NC. He was raised in Freeport NY, a graduate of Freeport High School, he moved to Colorado in 1978 and resided there until his returned to his homeland in 1982. Carey had an amazing sense of humor and lived his life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his Life Partner, Mary Land; Mother, Gracie Lee Locklear; two sisters, Margie Locklear and Melody Locklear McNair; one Brother, Charles Locklear; two daughters, Tiffany Locklear Mosley and Keisha Locklear; two step children, Sandy Ray Jacobs and Pam Jacobs and host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Locklear; grandparents, Carson and Liza Locklear; three brothers, Johnny Ray Locklear, Timothy Locklear, Theodore Locklear, Jr.; one sister, Victoria Locklear; one stepdaughter, Donna Land and great niece, Heaven Hanna. The Family will receive friends on Friday September 15, 2017 from 7- 8:30 pm with a Memorial Service following at 8:30 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, 319 W. broad Street, Saint Pauls, NC.
