Carolyn McKenzie

Carolyn Louise McKenzie, 82, of St. Pauls died Sunday May 2, 2021. She was born in Robeson County on December 31, 1938 to the late Durham Methusia and Janie Elizabeth Britt Ivey. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in St. Pauls, where she sang in the choir and enjoyed working in the nursery. She was a great cook who loved her family deeply. Her husband, Billy, said she was a "regular there”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Durham and Janie Ivey; brother, Eugene Ivey and sister, Rachael McGhee. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billy McKenzie; sons, Michael McKenzie and his wife Lesi and Billy Eugene McKenzie and his wife Monica; grandchildren, Aaron McKenzie, Erica Cox and her husband Kris, Paige McKenzie, and Alyssa McKenzie; great grandchild, Brooklyn Cox; sister, Marie Ray; and special friends, Barbara Walters and Betty Lou Beanie. Pall bears will be Kris Cox, Aaron McKenzie, Cristain Trejo, AJ Barker, Tommy Edwards, Bobby Pait, Luck Warren, and Chase Allen.

Funeral Services will be Thursday May 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
