Catherine Evers

Catherine Sellers Evers, 82, of 502 South Third Street died Monday, December 21, 2020. She was born May 15, 1938 in Latta, SC to the late William Sellers and Aline Tyndall Sellers. She was employed by Piggly Wiggly for 27 years. She was a devoted mother and faithful charter member of Westview Pentecostal Holiness Church of St. Pauls, NC. Catherine was generous and kindhearted to all and was well known for her chicken and pastry.

Preceded in death by her parents, Aline Tyndall, and William Sellers; husband, Henry Clyde Evers; sisters, Estelle Byrd and Mary Ratley and brothers, Willis Sellers, and Joel S. Sellers.

Survived by her daughter, Martha Mauldin and husband Mike, a son, Billy Evers, two grandson’s, Billy Evers, Jr. and wife Kim, Michael Wayne Mauldin, 4 great great-grandchildren, Savannah Elaine Mauldin, Hannah Dawn Mauldin, Trey and Charlie Evers and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 23, at 2 p.m. at Oakridge Cemetery in St. Pauls.  McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls is serving the family.
