Charles "Chuck" Long, Jr.

Charles “Chuck” William Long, Jr., 64, of St. Pauls, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday May 21, 2019. He was born on September 12, 1954 in Roane County, Tennessee to the late Charles William and Frankie Draughn Long, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Army and owner/operator of Long’s Tree and Landscaping Service in St. Pauls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darold Long. He is survived by his wife, Connie Taylor Long and daughter Taylor Long of the home; son, Walker Lee Long of New Jersey; stepmother, Poley Long; brother, Harold Long; sisters, Debra Stair, Karen Barker, Diana Long, Louise Long, Loretta Vanover, Teresa Clark, all of Tennessee and Nixi Chesnavich of Pennsylvania; many nieces, nephews and a host of beloved family and friends. A visitation will be held Friday May 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls, with a funeral service scheduled for Saturday May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at Westview Pentecostal Holiness Church, 467 Great Marsh Church Road, St. Pauls, NC, Pastor Ron Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
