Curtis Earl West

Curtis Earl West, 75, of St. Pauls, NC, passed away on March 18, 2025, at UNC Health Southeastern. He was born on March 28, 1949 in Robeson County to the late James W. and Ruth T. West.

Curtis was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda West of the home; his son, Irvin Paul Davis of Durham; his nephew, Johnny West of Thomasville, NC; and two nieces, Sheila Lewis of Orrum, NC, and Paula Ludlum of Elizabethtown, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, JW West.

Before an automobile accident at the age of 34 that left him disabled, Curtis was a dedicated and hardworking manager with Winn-Dixie grocery stores across North Carolina. He truly loved his work and took great pride in serving his community. After the accident, he found a new passion as an avid computer user, staying engaged and connected in new ways.

Curtis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His resilience, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A service to honor and celebrate Curtis’s life will be held at a later date.
