Dana McCormick Fisher

Dana McCormick Fisher died March 17, 2023.  A resident of Raleigh, she was born October 17, 1950 in Lumberton.  She was the daughter of the late W. Dan McCormick and Margaret Wilson McCormick of St. Pauls. 

Dana was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Elliot Fisher.

Dana grew up in St. Pauls and after graduating from Methodist University, she taught in the Raleigh City Schools.  She was a lover of music, poetry, and writing; later in life, she edited a newsletter for Farm Bureau Insurance in the Raleigh office.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret McCormick of Laurinburg; brothers, Danny McCormick (Susan) and Warren McCormick (Judy); nieces, Lindsey McCormick, Abbey Christ (Billy), Beth LaPrad (Steve), and Danita Rix (David); nephews, Jimmy “Bo” Cobb and Stephen Cobb; great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
