Della Gail Hammonds

Della Gail Haney Hammonds, age 76 of Red Springs, NC was born in Gaston Co., NC on July 18, 1946 to the late Claude and Hettie C. Haney and she transitioned to her heavenly home on July 3, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

In Addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by a son, John Foster Hammonds; a grandson, Adam Maynor; two brothers, Jackson Haney, Sr. and CJ Haney and seven sisters, Margie Bell Helms, Shelby Jean Teague, Debbie Caulder, Brenda Hammonds, Mildred Hall, Louise King and Vanessa Teague.

Della leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing, two daughters, Wanda Locklear (Bryan) and Lisa Hammonds; two sons, Timothy “Timbo” Hammonds (Lorie Ann) and Jason Hammonds all of Red Springs; 16 grandchildren, Dewayne (Chasity), Dawn, Gina (Harold), Kasei (Jonathan), Leanne(Chris), Nicholas (Kristen), Joshua, Justin, Ashley, Timothy Jr. “Tim Tim”, Leeyah, Jaydon “Duke Man”, Caden “Nussie Girl”, Johnathon “Taylor”, Brittany and Kelsey; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
