Dorothy "Dot Dot" Rose Lamb Jackson, 75, of Buies Creek, passed over peacefully Saturday October 18, 2014. She was born August 5, 1939 in Wilmington, NC to the late Reverend Samuel Nash and Artie Dishman Lamb. An accomplished pianist, she served several Baptist churches throughout her life. She married the love of her life, the late David Lacy Jackson and they remained married for 31 years. She was a charter member of the Forest Acres Baptist Church in Lumberton, which grew out of the mission she helped found. At an early age she joined Tolarsville Baptist Church, where her Dad was pastor. She lived and loved to help other people. Preceded in death by her husband, David L. Jackson, her parents the Rev. & Mrs. S.N. Lamb, brothers Sam and Bill Lamb, she is survived by daughters, Mitzi Ivey and husband Danny of Angier, NC and Mona Harper and husband Jeff of Raleigh; granddaughters, Amber Ivey and Aubree Harper; and sister, Margaret L. Dorsett of Tolarsville. A Graveside Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Tolarsville Baptist Church Cemetery, 5521 Tolarsville Rd., St. Pauls, NC 28384.
