Emma Hagin Budd, 87, of Parkton, died Monday May 30, 2016. She was born July 12, 1928 in Hoke County to the late Henry Eli and Evelyn Edwards Hagin. She retired from Food Services at South View Junior High School. An active member of Green Springs Baptist Church, she was, also, a past President of the Gray's Creek Fire Department # 18 Ladies Auxiliary. Preceded in death by her husband James Wilton Budd, Sr. and daughter Brenda Budd McMillan she is survived by her son, James Wilton Budd, Jr. and his wife Annette of St. Pauls; daughters, Diane Budd Atkinson and her husband Andy of Fayetteville, and Mary Helen Budd of Supply; sister, Barbara Lamm of Red Springs; son-in-law, Wilbur McMillan of Parkton; grandchildren, William McMillan, Keith McMillan, Thomas McMillan, Lisa Britt, Holly Register, Melinda Haddeman, Amy Patterson, Steven Budd, Angel Blackwell, and James Atkinson; 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Green Springs Baptist Church, with Reverend Jeff Broadwell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday June 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls and at other times at the Budd residence, 243 Shaw Mill Road, St. Pauls.
