Ethel Mead

Ethel Delores Hollingsworth Mead, “Delores”, 76, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, died peacefully Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in St Pauls, NC. A former resident of Pensacola, Florida and Florala, Alabama, Delores returned to her hometown of St Pauls, NC in 2016 to be closer to her siblings. Delores was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eddie; her parents, Amanda and Nash; her sisters, Mary, Jean, Joan, Viola; brothers, Dennis, and Tommy.  She is survived by daughters, Carol Roth, (Jon), of Stafford, VA; Trish Berard, (Mike), of Kingscliff, Australia; sons, Kenneth Mead of St Pauls, NC; Edward Mead Jr. of Opp, AL; eight grandchildren, Jon, Amber, Brian, Michael, Evan, Christopher, Erin and Nathan; two great grandchildren Genisys and Harper; sisters, Patricia, Janice, Judy, Nola; brothers, James, Donnie; brother-in-law James (Marie). A private family graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL, with her brother-in-law James Mead officiating.  It is the family’s wish that all memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/memorial-giving.html).
