Faye Thompson Kinlaw Robinson, 87, passed away June 19, 2021, at her home where she had lived for over 60 years. She was born on June 16, 1934 in Robeson County to the late Howard Lee and Marie Thompson Kinlaw. She was a textile worker at Burlington Industries for a total of 46 years, having served as a spinner and later working in the testing lab prior to retirement. Once retired, she returned to work at Kelly’s Cleaners for 17 years. She loved going out dancing, watching soap operas, game shows, CNN news and HGTV. She enjoyed cooking, especially making biscuits. She really loved shopping trips and eating at K&W with her sister Melba. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Kinlaw; her son, Wayne Robinson, her husband, Tommie Robinson; sister, Janet Ray; and her brothers, Mitchell and Gene Kinlaw. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn McKenzie and her husband Ronnie; daughter-in-law, Diane Robinson; grandchildren, Angie Jackson and her husband Jeff, Nicole Robinson, Jeremey Allen and his wife Heather, Susan Inman and her husband Steve, and Kristian Phillips and her husband Josh; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Collar and her husband John, Cathy Jackson and her husband Wayne, and Melba Kinlaw; and many nieces and nephews and special friends. Faye was loved by all that knew her, never met a stranger and her door was always open. A visitation will be held Tuesday June 22, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service scheduled for Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 4:00 pm in Tolarsville Baptist Church, with the Pastors Jeff Broadwell and David Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
