Freddie Lucille Harper

Freddie Canady McArthur Brewer Harper, 93, of St. Pauls, NC died Wednesday April 25, 2018. She was born in Cumberland County on May 26, 1924 to the late William Evans and Anna Bell Melvin Canady. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and loved to travel. She even kept a suitcase packed with clothes appropriate for the season in case someone invited her on a trip. She was a people person, drawing energy from those around her. A woman of faith, she was an active member of Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church. She loved her church, family and friends. Preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Ottis McArthur, Hubert Brewer and Paul Harper and a son, Harold McArthur, she is survived by her children, Ashley O. McArthur and his wife Patricia, Joan M. Watts and her husband Clarence, Melba M. Frink, Betty M. Hodge and her husband David, Judy M. Synowiez and her husband Paul, Danny P. McArthur and his wife Barbara, Patsy M. Lackey and her husband Frank, Wayne J. McArthur and his wife Tina, David W. McArthur and his wife Diane, and Jerry F. McArthur and his wife Peggy; daughter-in-law, Jeannie; 39 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday April 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church, with the Reverend David Hodge officiating. A Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service, from 1:00-3:00 PM, also at the church. Burial will follow the service in Green Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church Building Fund, 337 S. Elizabeth St., St. Pauls, NC 28384 or Community Hospice, 2402 N.
