Girldean Sizemore

Girldean Locklear Sizemore, 77, of Fayetteville, died Thursday June 24, 2021 at her home. She was born August 8, 1944 in Robeson County to the late George Belton and Mary Lee Hunt Locklear. She retired from the Fayetteville operations of M.J. Soffe textiles. She was a woman of faith and loved reading her Bible. Her family was most important and she loved them all dearly. Girldean was a very humble person who never had any complaints. She had a big heart full of love for all people.

She is survived by her sons, Sebastian Brisson and Phoenix Wil Locklear; daughter, Starlene Fizer; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Locklear and Bobby Locklear; sisters, Betty Durden and Sister Durden; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Services to the family are being provided by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
