Hazel Caulder McNeill, 83, formerly of St. Pauls, passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014 at Spring Arbor of Apex, NC. She was born on October 21, 1930 to the late W.H. and Lettie Lee Giles of Grays Creek, NC. Hazel was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She retired from Womack Army Medical Center in 1992 after over 30 years as a Civil Service employee. Prior to her illness and confinement, Hazel was involved in church volunteer work and was always willing to provide meals, transportation and assistance to those in need. Preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Marshall Adell (Mike) Caulder and Glenn B. McNeill, Sr., her daughter Debra Cox, brother Douglas Giles and sister Barbara Ann Giles, she is survived by her daughter Vicki Hall and husband Larry of Cary, NC; two grandsons, Chip Cox of Hope Mills and Jason Hall of Garner; two great grandchildren Dylan and Jayden Cox of Hope Mills; four sisters, Geraldine Cain of Hope Mills, Helen Kane and Sue Warren and her husband Henry all of Columbia, South Carolina, and Linda Cashwell of Hope Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday January 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First United Baptist Church in Hope Mills, 2002 Chickenfoot Rd., with visitation preceding the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.
