Howard (Howie) Wilkerson

Howard “Howie” Wilkerson, 57, of Havelock, was born into eternal life Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Born June 10, 1961, in Charlottesville, Virginia to Calvin Wilkerson and Dale Dickerson Wilkerson. He is preceded in death by his father.

Howard was gainfully employed at URS Federal (DynCorp International) as a USR Supervisor. He proudly served in the US Navy. He had a love for the outdoors, to include hunting, fishing, and camping. Howard was always the life of the party, bringing laughter and joy.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Legaspi Wilkerson; Mother, Dale Dickerson Wilkerson; sons: Josh Wilkerson, Jonny Burkhart Wilkerson, Gary Halsey, Sinjen Halsey, and Marc Halsey; Grandchildren: Jordi Burkhart, Ethan Halsey, and Aden Halsey; Brothers: Mike Wilkerson, Todd Wilkerson, and Scott Wilkerson, and several loved ones.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, 319 W. Broad Street, St. Pauls, NC 28384. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019, 2:00 pm, at Great Marsh Baptist Church, 270 E. Great Marsh Church Road, St. Pauls, NC 28384 with services conducted by Minister Doug Johndrow.

Services are entrusted to McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
