Janet Ann Crenshaw Booth, 71, of Rex died Thursday December 6, 2018 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. She was born in Cumberland County on November 1, 1947 to the late William Brown and Mary Ann Currie Crenshaw. She was a life-long member of Rex Presbyterian Church. Her favorite hobby was shopping and she was good at it. Her husband, Sam said he has a “workshop” and her family said “yep, Dad works and Mom shops”. Janet is survived by her husband of 52 years, Sam Booth; daughter, Ann Marie Booth Carter and her husband Clay; granddaughter, Samantha Ivey Turbeville and her husband Ellis; sister, Gale Crenshaw Hickman; nieces and nephews and a very special companion, Christopher, the Dachshund. A visitation will be held Saturday December 8, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls, with a funeral service scheduled for Sunday December 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Rex Presbyterian Church with Pastor BeBe Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
