Janice Byrd

Janice White Byrd, 73, of St. Pauls, North Carolina died Wednesday January 15, 2014 in Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC.  Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday January 18, 2014 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of St. Pauls, with the Reverends Pat Hash and Floyd Helms officiating. Burial follows in Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday January 17, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls. She was born in Robeson County, North Carolina on September 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Rebecca Moody White. A graduate of St. Pauls High School, she worked as a legal secretary prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Emerson and Ronald J. White. She is survived by her husband, Neil "Bud" Byrd; sons, Kelly White and his wife Kathryn and Steven White and his wife Tiffany all of St. Pauls, NC; step-daughters, Terry Thomas and her husband David of Hope Mills, NC, Deborah Roberts of Fayetteville, NC and Betty Jo Ray and her husband Raymond of Orlando, FL; brothers, Russell White and Rudolph White of St. Pauls, NC; sister, Melba Allen of St. Pauls, NC; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
