Janice Wilson Smith

Mrs. Janice Wilson Smith, age 73, of St. Pauls, NC passed away on December 10, 2023. She was born on January 9, 1950 in St. Pauls where she lived her entire life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Coy and Beanie Wilson, a brother Kenny Wilson, and infant son Earl Dempsey Smith III.

Janice is survived by her husband of 53 years Dempsey Smith; sons J. Dempsey Smith (Stacey) and Donny Smith (Sonja); her grandchildren, Danielle Smith Oxendine (Alston), August Smith, Peyton Smith, Sarah-Morgan Smith, and Jack Smith; a sister Lorraine Taylor (Mac); a nephew Jimmy (Shelly); a niece Angela (Rob) and her aunt Jean Butler, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a devoted wife and mother and is known by many in St. Pauls from her time spent as secretary for Dr. R.E. Hooks. Never one to seek the spotlight, she was a tireless worker and always put others first.

Honoring her wishes, her ceremony will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Breast Cancer Society or the Robeson County Humane Society.
