Jessie Lee Joyner, 66, of Lumberton died Friday April 20, 2018. He was born in Scotland County, NC February 1, 1952 to the late Charlie Ervin and Rose Lee Hardin Quarles. Although he was accomplished at many things, he was a Truck Driver most of his working life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie Quarles, Jr., John Thomas Quarles, Frank Quarles and sister, Mary Quarles. He is survived by his wife Jonny Joyner of the home; sons, Bill Cox, of the home, Danny Cox and his wife Meg of Wilson, and Brian Berssont and his wife Yuvonda of Stedman; daughter, Kellie Davis of Lumberton; grandson, Jacob Sander of the home; and 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Molly Quarles and husband Bill Mille of Lumberton and Marie Jordan and her husband Skeeter of Jacksonville, FL; special nieces, Ann Michelle Kinlaw and her husband Raymond of Whitelake and Rose Gilmore and her husband Harvey of St. Pauls; and a special nephew, Allen Ivey, Jr. of Lumberton. The family will receive friends at Molly’s house at 195 Asbury Drive in Lumberton. There will be a graveside memorial service at Oak Ridge Cemetery Saturday April 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend David Hodge officiating. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
