Jimmy Evers

Jimmy Ray Evers, 74, of Parkton, North Carolina, died Tuesday June 16, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was born in Bladen County, North Carolina July 2, 1940 to the late William Jay and Flora Elizabeth Brown Evers. He was a Master Mechanic with Gregory Poole and Taylor Express. Visitation will be held Thursday June 18, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Congregational Christian Church, Hope Mills. Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM in the church with the Reverend Bobby G. Bunce officiating. Burial will follow in Green Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Betty and 3 sons, David, Rodney and Steven; 2 children, Charlene and Tony and their mother Juanita; sister, Mary Elizabeth Squires, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
