Joanne Penfield Jackson

Joanne Penfield Jackson, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at her residence.

She was born October 29, 1939 in Fayetteville to the late Joseph Taylor Penfield and Wilma Johnson Penfield.  Joanne attended Gray's Creek School and Worth Business College.  She worked in accounting until her retirement.  She loved her life, her family and the Lord.   She thanked the Lord each morning for another day.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood J. Jackson; a son, Timothy Mark Jackson, and a sister, "Kay" Brisson.

Joanne's survivors include her children, Marsha Davis (Frank), Joseph Charles "Chuck" Jackson (Tori), and Linda Jackson Burr (Todd); a sister, Miriam Penfield; six grandchildren, Richard "Richie" Davis, Ashley Wilcox, Jordan Jackson, Christopher Burr, Ryan Burr and Christian Burr; two great grandchildren, Kinsley Davis and Oliver Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held, Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00am at Bladen Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Lucas officiating.
