Joe “JK” Kenneth Fisher, 84, of St. Pauls died Sunday August 25, 2019 at his home. He was born in Robeson County on June 22, 1935 to the late William Dewey and Mabel Elizabeth Faircloth Fisher. A man of many occupations, he was most proud of service to his country. He served on active duty in the United States Navy from November 25, 1952 until July 16, 1973. He received the Viet Nam Service Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal and retired as a Chief Radio Man. He was a man of faith, active with Great Marsh Baptist Church and he received an Associate Degree from Robeson Community College. He was known around St. Pauls as the “honey man” because of his beekeeping work. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Brune Fisher; daughters, Kimberlee Fisher and Karen Jeffers; son, Kenneth Fisher; 7 grandchildren, Kelli, Kari, Kaci, Courtney, Justin, Summer, and Blaze; great-grandson, Kaiden; brother & sister-in-law, Danvey & Elaine Fisher, and sister & brother-in-law, Carol & Neil Owen along with many friends. A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held Friday September 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Great Marsh Baptist Church in St. Pauls. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
