John Thomas "Tommy" Brisson

John Thomas “Tommy” Brisson, age 89 of Tar Heel, NC was born January 1, 1935 in Bladen Co., NC to the late Josh and Clara L. Brisson and departed this life on December 27, 2024 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center in Elizabethtown.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by several siblings. 

John leaves to cherish his memories, Harry and Maureen Brisson and a host of other relatives and friends. 

John was a US Army Veteran serving his country for two years; after his military tenure, John went to college using the GI Bill and graduated with his Master’s Degree in Mathematics. John was a retired educator, he taught at various schools with the Public Schools of Robeson Co. before transitioning over to a Principal where he served at 5 different schools throughout Robeson Co. 

in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made on John’s behalf to Saint Judes Children’s Hospital.
