Joseph Benjamin "Tucker" Cain, Jr., 87, of Tobermory died Thursday March 26, 2015 at GlenFlora in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, North Carolina September 11, 1927 to the late Joseph Benjamin and Mary Gibson Cain. He lived and farmed in the Tobermory community of Bladen County, NC. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. Formerly an active member of Bladen Union Baptist Church, he was most recently a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Pauls, NC. He was a Charter member of the Tobermory Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth, two brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his wife Helen; sons, Joseph, John, Edward and Allen; daughter, Kathy; sisters Louise and Anna Laura; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday March 29, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with Funeral Services being held at 11:00 AM Monday March 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 302 S. 2nd Street, St. Pauls, NC, with the Reverend Dr. Pat Hash officiating. Burial will follow in the Cain Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
