Josie Parnell

Mrs. Josie Hall Parnell, age 92 died on Sunday, May 16,2021, at Sharon Towers in Charlotte, NC with family and caregivers by her side. Josie was born on March 25,1929, in Grays Creek NC to Joel George Hall and Ruth Norton Hall.

She graduated from Parkton High School in 1947, after which she married Robert Earl Parnell, Sr. of Parkton, NC who preceded her in death in 2017. Also preceding her in death were her sons Robert Earl Parnell, Jr. and Joel Hall Parnell both of Parkton, NC.

She is survived by daughter Cynthia Parnell Alexander of Belmont, NC and daughter Martha Parnell Nance (Fred) of Franklin, TN.

She was blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren, Courtney Sito and Maggie Shank, Craig and Ben Nance, Caroline and Rob Parnell, and Joel Parnell.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers and companions throughout her time in Charlotte, the staff at Sharon Towers, especially on 3 Azalea West, and her faithful and loving friend William Cummings of Parkton, NC.
