Kenneth Mead

Kenneth Earl Mead, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in St Pauls, NC, from complications associated with his medical conditions and pneumonia. He was born May 8, 1961 in Norfolk, VA. A former resident of Pensacola, FL and Florala, AL, Kenneth moved to St Pauls, NC in 2016 to be closer to family. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family when he was growing up. He was a volunteer fire fighter, an electrician, and a metalsmith. He was preceded in death by his parents; Dew Mulder Stokes, Ethel Delores Hollingsworth Stokes Mead, and Edward George Mead. He is survived by his sisters, Carol Roth, (Jon), of Green Cove Springs FL; Trish Berard, (Mike), of Kingscliff, Australia; brothers Edward Mead Jr. of Opp, AL and Dew Stokes Jr. of Memphis, TN; and eight nieces and nephews; Jon, Amber, Brian, Michael, Evan, Christopher, Erin and Nathan. He was 58 years old. A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 10:00 am in Oak Ridge Cemetery of St. Pauls. Burial will follow the service.
