Linda McGougan

Linda Frances Jackson McGougan, 72, of St. Pauls died Wednesday March 4, 2020. She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 5, 1947 to the late Hubert Dalton and Zelma Newell Jackson. A woman of faith, she was very active with the First Baptist Church of St. Pauls. She worked along side of her husband, Larry and daughter, Suzanne, at St. Pauls Farmer’s Exchange. Linda loved to cook and loved her family and she especially loved spending time with her granddaughter, Peyton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward M. Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Larry Hilton McGougan; daughter, Suzanne McGougan Hodge and her husband Daniel; granddaughter, Peyton Hilton Hodge; sisters, Elizabeth Anne Edwards and Carolyn Faye McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday March 7, 2020 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church of St. Pauls Fellowship Hall, with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service being held in the Church Sanctuary at 12:00 noon, with Reverend Pat Hash officiating. The committal service and burial will be private, family only. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, 302 S. 2nd Street, St. Pauls, NC 28384, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
