Linda West

Mrs. Linda West, 66 of St. Pauls, NC, went into the arms of her beloved Savior at UNC Hospital on Sunday September 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Linda West was preceded in death by her parents Henry Allen Inman and Melba Holder Inman. Linda was a St. Pauls High School Graduate class of 1969 and graduated from Robeson County Community College with a degree in Finance. She started her banking career with Guaranty Savings and Loan and retired from Lumbee Guarantee Savings Loan, Linda held several management positions to include Branch Manager, Mortgage Loan Officer and Vice President. She was a member of Great Marsh Baptist Church, volunteered her time to work the soundboard and directed the Angel Tree Ministries. She served as the St. Pauls Chamber of Commerce President for several terms and received the Mecham Award for an outstanding citizen. Linda became a member of Eastern Star in St. Pauls, NC and served as Worthy Matron along with different Star Points throughout her membership. Her greatest joys were spending time with her husband and family. She loved volunteering her time to help and always enjoyed making others smile. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 12th, 2017 at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and all other times at the home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday September 13th, 2017 at Great Marsh Baptist Church, burial will follow. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years OJ West and, two children Janna Reynolds (Joey) of St. Pauls, Gary Byrd (Rachel) of Ocean Springs, MS, five grandchildren Ryne Reynolds (Brooke), Everette Ford, Madison Ford, Macey Reynolds, Kendall Byrd. Two great grandchildren Kinsley Reynolds, Riley Reynolds, sister Susan Strickland (Bill) and Uncle Sherrill Holder.
