Magdalene Davis Musselwhite, age 88, of St. Pauls, passed away on September 19, 2021. She was born February 27, 1933 in Bladen County to the late Gordon Bunyan Davis and Annie Belle Allen Davis.
Magdalene was a retired teaching assistant with the Robeson County school system. She loved journaling, recording detailed family genealogy, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was loving and intelligent. Her love and care affected every single life she touched.
She was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ralph Musselwhite and by brothers Herbert Bunyan Davis, and Allen Barker Davis.
She is survived by brothers Ira Stephen Davis, Harold Clingman Davis; sisters Annie Laura Taylor, and Shirley Winford Davis Taylor. Her son John Clifford Musselwhite, (Jane Lewis Musselwhite), her daughters Mary Jane Musselwhite Butler, and Dorothy Davis Musselwhite Harrell, (Steve Harrell). Her grandchildren, Athaleah Duncan Drummond, Amanda Jane Harrell Carter, (Keith Carter), Robert Butler Jr., two grandchildren by marriage, Vannessa Marie Capps, Jacinda Levon Snow, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 1:00pm, at 1515 Hickory Grove Ballpark Rd, Bladenboro N.C.
