Margaret Moore

Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Pittman Moore, 84, of St. Pauls, died Friday April 10, 2015 at Glen Flora Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton, NC. Mrs. Moore was born on March 2, 1931, to the late Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Pittman of St. Pauls. She was employed by Burlington Industries for 34 years as plant manager secretary. After retirement, Mrs. Moore served as Vice-President of D.D. McColl, Inc. She was a faithful member of St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, having served as a deacon and choir member; and was designated as an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women USA in 2003. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, William E. (Bill) Moore, Sr.; brothers, Jim, Bob, Ralph, David, and Jack Pittman; and a sister, Grace Johnson. Mrs. Moore is survived by a son, William E. Moore, Jr. and his wife Georgia of Caswell Beach; daughters, Kathy Moore of St. Pauls and Vivian Moore Millar and her husband Bill of St. Pauls; three grandchildren, Alyson Moore Zarzecki and her husband Todd of Chapel Hill, Will Moore of Cary, and Kate Moore of Washington, DC. She was blessed with two great grandsons, Wyatt and Sam Zarzecki. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday April 13, 2015 at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church in St. Pauls, with the Reverend Dr. Susan M. Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
