Mary Hughes

Mrs. Mary Neal Shaw Hughes, 89, of Parkton passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home. Born in Robeson County, March 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late J.H. Shaw, Sr. and Florence Graham Shaw. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Hughes; three brothers J.H. Shaw, Jr., Graham Shaw, David Shaw, and one sister Emmy Shaw DeRatt.

Graveside services will be held in the Parkton Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Hughes, her sister Laura Shaw McMillan, sisters-in-law Mrs. Mable Shaw and Mrs. Sarah Shaw, and brother-in-law James DeRatt.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Parkton Presbyterian Church, PO Box 129, Parkton, NC 28371, in lieu of flowers.
