Mary Esther Pierce Osegueda

Mary Esther (Pierce) Osegueda,79, of Parkton, NC made her transition to a heavenly body on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born in Sewickley, PA on December 13, 1943, and married her high school sweetheart on February 8, 1964. Together they raised five children and taught them about the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  She had a generous spirit, loved to spend time with her children, and put God before everything. A cancer survivor, Mary was a fighter and her faith was stronger than ever.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ramon Osegueda, Sr. and her oldest son, Ramon Osegueda, Jr.

Mary is survived by her children Joseph R. Osegueda of Hawaii, Jesse P. Osegueda of the home, Judith M. Osegueda of Pembroke, NC, and Stephen J. Osegueda (Jessica Osegueda) of Pennsylvania whom are all mourning the loss of their mom. Also surviving are her four grandchildren: Nicholas Locklear, Shiloh Locklear, Stephen Osegueda, Jr., and Tristan Osegueda as well as a great-granddaughter, Layla Locklear.

Mary greatly enjoyed her career as first a teacher in Shady Grove Christian Academy and later as a medical lab technician at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She deeply loved her pastor and his wife, Larry and Sue Lowery of Pembroke Assembly of God where she taught Children’s Church for several years.

A small memorial service will be held to honor her life and to celebrate her going Home. The service will be at McNeill Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
