Melba Sherrill

Melba C. Sherrill, 81, of Parkton, NC died January 10, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A native of Robeson County, she was born January 19, 1930 to the late Henry C. and Jennie Inman Crenshaw. She was a homemaker. Preceded in death by brothers Henry Crenshaw Jr. and Paul Crenshaw, she is survived by her husband, Joe E. Sherrill, Jr., Parkton; sons, Joe E. Sherrill III (Connie) of Tarboro, NC, Richard Sherrill (Sharon) and Jimmy Sherrill (Shirley) of Virginia Beach, VA, Bobby Sherrill of Meridian, MS, Steve Sherrill (Debbie) of Eastover, NC, David Sherrill (Stacey) of Broken Arrow, OK, and Bryan Sherrill of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Nancy Saunders (George) of Fayetteville and Karen Bellios (Chris) of Stafford, VA; brother, Jerry Crenshaw; sisters Hilda Ward and Mary Helen Crawford; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Parkton United Methodist Church, Parkton, NC with the Reverends Teresa Rutledge and Ken Pritchard officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday January 13, 2012 from 6—8 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls.
