Nancy Keck Willis

May 26, 1931 — October 9, 2024

Saint Pauls

Nancy Keck Willis, age 93, left her earthly body to be present with the Lord on October 9, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Susie Keck, and her sister, Lorna Erath. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lloyd Willis and their two sons and their wives, Glenn and Laura Willis, Blair and Teresa Willis. She is also survived by five grandchildren - Levi, Ethan (and Kelsey), Travis (and Kristen), Nolan, and Tyler along with three great grandchildren - Brayden, Chandler, and Carter.

Born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, she met and married Lloyd in 1955. After several years in Michigan, they moved to Lloyd’s homeplace and family farm in the Tobermory, NC community where Nancy quickly adapted to rural farm life and country living.

She was a wonderful homemaker and loved caring for and teaching her family about the important things in life with the most important being the need for a Savior and showing her family Jesus Christ in her words and actions.

Nancy and Lloyd were blessed to be able to travel together after Lloyd’s retirement to many states, lighthouses, and national parks. She was the co-pilot in the car and did all the navigation (using many paper maps) before there was GPS.

Nancy was a long-time, active member of Bladen Union Baptist Church where she served in WMU, VBS, as piano player, and as church historian. However, her favorite was singing in the choir.

The family would like to say thanks for all the support and prayers during this time. A special thanks to Lilies of Hope staff and personal caregivers Jackie and Michelle. In lieu of flowers, please send any gifts to Bladen Union Baptist Church designated to WMU.
