Peggy McArthur

Peggy Sue McArthur, 60, of St. Pauls, NC passed away peacefully at home on Monday November 11, 2019. She was born in Robeson County on February 22, 1959 to the late Elbert and Docia Lee Oxendine. Peggy was described by her family as a colorful, God-fearing woman who spoke as fiercely as she loved. To her daughters she seemed larger than life and they only hope they can be half of the woman she was. To her husband she was the soulmate God sent to him. Twenty-six years ago neither were looking for each other but the Lord had plans to take two families and make one. She touched so many people in so many ways and will always live in their hearts. Peggy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jerry McArthur; daughters, Amanda Huff and her husband Chad of Leland, NC, Jenny Gaylord and her husband Dean of Leland, NC, Nicole Lindsey of Wilmington, NC, and Renee Oxendine of St. Pauls, NC; ten grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Adam, Alexa and husband Jonathan, Anthony, Miranda, Joshua, Alexus, Parker, Gracie, and Jeremiah; two great grandchildren, Kaytlynn and Braelyn. A visitation will be held on Friday November 15, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church, 337 S. Elizabeth Street, St. Pauls, NC with a funeral service, also, scheduled for Friday November 15, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church, the Reverend David Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, St. Pauls. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
