Rebecca (Becky) was born on November 26, 1921 to the late Foster F. and Ina Prevatte in rural Robeson County. To much of the town she is best known as the receptionist/nurse for Dr. R. E. Hooks for whom she worked for almost 40 years. Those in her church also know her for her pecan pies, 'ladyfingers' and cheese biscuits. She was an active member of First Baptist Church since the age of eleven where she enjoyed using her beautiful voice in the church choir.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca is preceded by a brother, Foster Freeman Prevatt, Jr. and three sisters, Georgia Rea Stephens, Mylmae Setzer and Ina Verne James. She is survived by her son Anderson and his wife Darlene, daughter Becky Sue and her husband Robert Milliron, and her grand-daughter Robin and her husband Dave Perrone. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
