Mrs. Robbie Devane Gibson, 82, of St. Pauls, NC went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 31, 2011.Robbie was born in Bladen County and was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Lena Devane. Robbie was the wife of the late Jack Phillip Gibson, Sr. and is survived by daughters Phyllis Ridoutt and husband Charles of Oak Island, NC, Barbara Knight and husband Eddie of Tar Heel, NC and Patricia Usher and husband Ben of St. Pauls, NC and a son Jack Phillip Gibson, Jr and wife Margaret of St. Pauls, NC, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and a special friend Mr. Damon Edwards. Robbie was a faithful and loving Christian woman who lived her life for the Lord. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at First United Baptist Church, 2002 Chicken Foot Road, Hope Mills, NC. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., January 2, 2012 at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls, NC and at other times at Mrs. Gibson’s resident.
