Robert Jackson

Robert “Bobby” Jackson, also affectionately known to many as “Pa” age 87, of Lumber Bridge was born in Hoke Co., North Carolina on March 8, 1935 to the late Labon and Hattie Jackson and departed this life, September 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Jackson, and several brothers and sisters.

Robert owned and operated Robert’s Grocery in Lumber Bridge for many years until his retirement; this afforded him the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people whom he came to know and love.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Lena Rose Canady and husband, Terry of the home; two grandchildren, Scott Canady and wife, April and Matt Canady and wife, Naomi all of Lumber Bridge; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Bennett, Jersy, Mason, and Matheson all of Lumber Bridge and a host of other relatives and friends.
