Ruby Brown

Ruby Mae Brown, 85, of St. Pauls, NC died Thursday January 14, 2021. She was born in Bladen County on August 24, 1935 to the late Don and Clara Benton Powell. She was truly a homemaker and faithfully attended The Autonomy Church of Saint Pauls. She loved spending time with and doing for her grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, coloring and crocheting. In addition to her parents Don and Clara Powell, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband John Daniel Brown, son Horace Junior Brown and daughter Patricia Diane Pittman. She is survived by her son James Daniel Brown and his wife Betty of St. Pauls; granddaughter Teresa Brown of St. Pauls; grandsons Anthony Brown and his wife Lynda of Lumberton, Charles Brown and his wife Amanda of Linden, Jason Brown and his wife Brandi of St. Pauls, Richard Ivey and his wife LisaJo of St. Pauls and Robert Ivey of Crestwood, IL.; Twenty-three (23) great grandchildren and ten (10) great great grandchildren. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Saturday January 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Bundy officiating. The family is in the care of McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
