Ukessa Simmons

Ukessa Joyce Penia Simmons, 38, of St. Pauls died Saturday October 10, 2020. She was born March 26, 1982 in Lee County, Florida to Deborah Smith Penia and the late Anthony Lewis Penia, Jr. Her biggest joy in life was her kids and grandbabies. Her family was very close to her and she loved being a new grandmother. Preceded in death by her father, Anthony Lewis Penia, Jr., she is survived by daughters, Destiny Simmons, Kiara Simmons and Alexis Williams; son, Rodney Simmons, Jr. and his wife MaKayla; grandchildren, Aliyya Lamb, Rodney Simmons III and a new baby girl arriving soon; mother, Deborah Smith Penia; and many brothers, sisters, cousins and friends. The family will have private services at a later date. The family is being cared for by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
