Viola Grimsley

Viola Graham Grimsley, 81, of Tolarsville died Tuesday August 6, 2019. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 29, 1937 to the late Jack Gilbert and Mamie Gray Graham. She was the third shift grill cook at Joe Don Danny’s for over 20 years. She loved cooking and watching TV, especially Family Feud and the Price is Right. She was known to spend time talking on the telephone. She worried about everyone and loved having company stop by her home…some never left. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mamie Graham; husband, Billy Lloyd Grimsley; daughter, Tammy Ann Grimsley; and sisters, Edna Lou Hunneycutt and Jackie Pait. She is survived by her children, Gilbert Grimsley and his wife Sue; Willie Grimsley; Jimmy Grimsley and his wife Sue; Billie Sue McDonald; Cary Grimsley and his wife Wendy and Frankie Locklear; grandchildren, Ashley, Lisa, Kim, Jessica, Morgan, Meagan, Ethan, Anaya and Beverly; great grand-children, Daveon, Ayden, Amier, Beth, Alicia, Brianna, Kenny, Cheyanne, Ella, Gavin, Shayla, Delina, Skylar, Dylan, Macie, Larkin, and Angel; and many nieces, nephews and strays. A visitation is scheduled for Friday August 9, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service being held Saturday August 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Tolarsville Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Broadwell officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
