Wanda Ammons

Wanda Kay Ammons, 59, of Lumber Bridge, passed away Sunday May 3, 2015. She was born July 8, 1955 to Mary P. Ammons and the late Stephen F. Ammons. She proudly served in education and scholastic administration for 33 years and was very decorated for her services. She, also, served as pianist, organist and Sunday School Teacher for Lumber Bridge Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen F. Ammons and survived by her mother, Mary P. Ammons; brother, Stephen R. Ammons and wife Helen; and nephews, Russell and Cory Ammons. Visitation will be held at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls from 6-8 PM Wednesday May 6, 2015. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11AM Thursday May 7, 2015 at Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Reverends Frank Turner and Gerald Tew officiating.
